Mayfest Military Appreciation Day 2010

Sunday, May 2^nd. Mayfest gates open from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. All active, reserve, and retired military receive free admittance to Mayfest along with three additional guests. Enjoy the Air Force 531st Performance Bands including the Concert Band, Jazz Band, Rock Band, and Latin Ensemble playing throughout the day on the Main Stage. Watch the JCC and JROTC armed and unarmed Drill Team Competitions as well as the JROTC Academic Challenge. And, you won't want to miss the Giant Inflatable Obstacle Course Challenge Competition. Don't be surprised to also enjoy a special fly over!

The Great American Duck Races return to Mayfest! Will you be chosen from the audience to hold and release "your" duck for their race? Or, pick out your favorite and cheer them on to the finish line. It's a quacking good time! This free attraction is a favorite!

The Tom Thumb Children's Area at Mayfest boasts over 20 activity booths aimed at children ages 3 – 12, and all for FREE. Your children will have a blast painting pet rocks, getting their faces painted, making rain sticks, hammering their own creation with wood and nails, enjoying the pirates' cove and pretty princess area...and so much more!

Cowtown Wakeboarding on the Trinity River

Cowtown Wakepark introduces a brand new kind of Wakeboarding to Fort Worth. Come see wakeboarding without a boat. World Champion Tom Fooshee will boost 20 feet in the air and do 360's, 720's, 900's, and tricks you never even thought possible.
